1 dead, 2 others wounded in shooting in Brighton Park neighborhood, cops say
A 20-year-old woman was fatally shot, and two others were wounded Wednesday night on the Southwest Side in the Brighton Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Around 8 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 4300 block of South Rockwell Avenue and found three victims shot. The victims were in aa vehicle traveling south when they heard multiple gunshots.
A 20-year-old woman suffered multiple wounds to the body, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
A 41-year-old woman was struck once in the leg, and a 19-year-old woman suffered several wounds to the body. Both woman were taken to UChicago Medicine where they were listed in good condition, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
