Trio takes ATM from currency exchange overnight on Lower West Side, cops say

Officers responded to a robbery at a currency exchange overnight where three thieves picked up an ATM and carried it out to a white sedan before fleeing the scene, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m., a cashier told police three males entered the currency exchange located in the 1900 block of West Cermak Road, and picked up an ATM and carried it out to a white sedan. The trio fled the scene in the sedan, police said.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
